House Mountain Horse Show Results!

Congratulations to all riders! We had a fabulous horse show this past weekend at the Virginia Horse Center for the SWVHJA House Mountain Horse Show.

We arrived Friday evening to school and set up. We ended up having 9 stalls which was very exciting. The show Saturday went great. Kristen showed Sox for Maggie and Codi showed JJ for Jenny and Beryl and Wishes for Beverly Russle in the Schooling Hunter’s Saturday morning. It was a great start to the weekend with Sox getting 6th in his second over fences out of a ton of horses.

The show moved on and Maggie rode Sox in the Children’s Hunter’s later that afternoon. She ended up with a 4th and 6th over fences and a 2nd on Sunday in the Equitation on the flat. Not bad for their first show together!

Sunday morning was also very successful for our Beginner Hunter riders, Casey and Reilly. This was Casey’s first away show and she was on one of our fancy new ponies, May. They were a great team and ended up 4th and 3rd over the jumps and 5th on the flat. Way to go! Reilly and her awesome pony Remy showed their stuff and ended up to be RESERVE CHAMPION!!! Rock on ladies.

Megan showed Beryl in the Equitation on the flat and for her very first time riding B she did fabulous ending up with a 4th! She went on the show Wishes in the SWVHJA Pony Medal where she rode her butt off and made Kristen and I very proud trainers. Tough pony, good rider, happy trainers.

Burke rode our famous large pony Slipper’s in the Large Pony Hunters and the Pony Medal. She did a wonderful job and ended up 4th in both over fences and 3rd in the medal! Great riding.

Our friend Mackenzie Parks showed our ponies Miss Charlotte and Maple Leaf’s Opulence in the Medium ponies which didn’t quite go as planned but we were still very please with the rides they were given. She couldn’t have done a better job on our naughty little fancy ponies! Hopefully next weekend will be a little smoother for those two:)

Lastly we can’t forget Mackenzie on her pony Remy in the mediums. She too has been working very hard and it all paid off! She was 2nd in both over fences and ended up RESERVE CHAMPION of the small/medium pony hunters! WAY TO GO!!

Over all the show was a blast and we can’t wait till this weekend at Randolph College to do it all again. We hope all our fabulous families had as wonderful of a time as we did and a special thanks to all of you who helped in any way. You all make it that much more enjoyable and FUN!

CONGRADULATIONS TO ALL!
